Karen Mautner married Shelby Brumelle July 22, 1966. We moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1969. We liked it so well we decided to stay and are now dual citizens. Shelby died in 2001. I am currently with my partner Paul Wright for 17 years.
I went to UC Berkeley for a BA and UBC for a Masters of Art Educarion. I have two children Colin and Justin and 3 grandchildren Shelby, Lars and Jennika. After teaching art for many years I now devote myself to creating art: Brumelleart.com, Vancouver Art Guild. I love spending time with my grandchildren, being outdoors, painting and reading.
My advice to a grad, do what you love.
