My name was and is Judi Matsen. Never married. Never had any kids. Biggest disappointment of my life until I realized it was overtaken by no grandkids!! I have lived in Buena Park for about 45 years. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management. Went to work for Douglas/McDonnell Douglas/Boeing where I was for over 40 years. I worked in Commercial Marketing for 15 years as a Senior Market Analyst. Then I transferred to the military as a Senior Financial Analyst for the rest of the years. Retired in 2010.
One of my greatest joys in my life is activity in my church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In fact, at the age of 21 I served a
1 1/2 years as a missionary for the Church. Another great joy has been doing volunteer work. I have spent about 30 years volunteering for Musical Theatre West, a Regional Professional Musical Theater organization. Spent ten years on the Board of Directors. Also work with our local library - helped start a used bookstore there. Retirement is spent still volunteering for both organizations and keeping up with several retiree lunches, etc.
I think my best advice to new graduates would be enjoy life, live it well, but start providing for your retirement early!!!
