Jean Aigner (then and now). Currently I live in Claremont, CA. I went to UCLA and U. Wisconsin, Madison for BA, MA and Phd, with a focus on archaeology of east Asia and Arctic America. Taught and did some administration at U. Connecticut, U. Alaska (Fairbanks), U. Nebraska (Lincoln) and Cal Poly. Happily retired 15 years ago. Since then I volunteered locally and am currently holed up at home. Partner died 3 years ago so I take solace in friends, including from Uni, family in So Cal and four cats.
I miss the quarterly lunches with Uni friends.
Advice to seniors, take it slow and don't be too hasty to forego your own career interests.
